HR Operations Specialist-Italy

BYD Europe is looking to recruit an HR Operations Specialist for our new National Sales Company in Italy to give generalist HR support to our local managers and staff.
BYD Europe has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, results-driven and hands-on HR professional to help align the organization’s people strategy with its business strategy right from the start.
Working closely together with the Country Manager, and partnering with your HR colleagues in the Netherlands, you will be responsible to lead the full employee journey. Your HRM experience will help our organization in adding value to overall business objectives, providing HR solutions, resolving personnel grievances, retaining a talented workforce, and ensuring compliance with regulations. You are not only an administrative expert and a people champion, but also a change agent and a strategic partner for the business. You will provide advice to our management team regarding best practices to hire talent and maximize employee efficiencies.

As HR Operations Specialist, you report to the Country Manager in Italy (administratively), and to the HR Manager at the HQ in the Netherlands (functionally), and perform a variety of tasks in the field of talent acquisition, personnel administration, compliance, and rewards and employee benefits.
Key responsibilities:
1.Talent Acquisition
As Recruiter, you build a motivated, well-balanced and multicultural work force to grow the BYD business in Europe, working closely together with the talent acquisition team at HQ. In this role you lead recruitment projects with partners from various business units (electrical buses, forklifts, trucks and passenger cars). You handle the full cycle recruitment process from talent planning until negotiating the offer and employee onboarding. You coach hiring managers in interviewing and recruitment best practices, and provide an inclusive and positive candidate experience.
2.Personnel Administration
You administer the day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties. You play an active role in the inflow, through-flow and out-flow of a motivated, well balanced, multicultural work force. You act as a contact person for all HR-related matters for our employees.
3.Rewards and employee benefits
You support the HR Manager in developing and implementing reward strategies, processes, and tools, aligned with the HR and business strategy of BYD, and with the aim to attract, motivate, retain and engage our employees. You execute the reward system plans and ensure they are current, competitive and in legal compliance. You ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the compensation information submitted to the finance department and you perform data analysis to ensure fair compensation.
4.Office support
Working closely together with the Operations Manager in the Netherlands, you order office supplies and make arrangements for mobile phones, company cars, latops etc.
You have:
Bachelor education level in Human Resources, Business Administration or Finance or equivalent by experience;
1-3 years of experience within a fast paced and busy HR function;
Experience with recruitment, including sourcing;
A good knowledge of compensation and benefits practices and principles, and local legislation and regulations;
A general understanding of other human resources functionalities;
Excellent organization skills and the ability to prioritize, multi-task and manage a demanding workload on a daily basis;
Good English communication skills, written and verbal. English is the corporate language;
Experience working in an international, multicultural environment is considered an asset. Confident and resilient, with a can-do outlook that is maintained when under pressure;
Excellent team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills;
Problem-solving, organized and accurate.
