Production Mechanic Technician (Scotland, UK)
About the role
We have an exciting opening for who has experience as a Bus Mechanic o to work in the factory based in Falkirk, Scotland.
Main Tasks and responsibilities:
- Complete chassis pre-paint safety check and pre-delivery inspection while working to company quality standard
- Ensure repairs are carried out according to BYD's procedures and in a safe and responsible manner Assist in the fault diagnosis process
- Assist in software update/check
- Ensure that all vehicle defects are reported to your production manager
- Liaise with partner bodybuilder company (Alexander Dennis) supervisor & management team to advise of any potential issues that may affect their production, as advised by the BYD production manager
- Assist vehicle build on line at production
- Liaise daily with your line manager to undertake daily duties
- Occasional business trip to support field claims if required
Ideal candidate profile:
- Previous experience as a Bus Mechanic
- have a formal qualification to SVQ level 2-3 (mechanical engineering/automotive engineering) or equivalent
- Full UK Driving License and PCV
- Team player, a degree of flexibility is required due to unusual circumstances that may or may not arise
- Has right-to-work in the U.K.
Preferred qualification:
- IRTEC license - Inspection Technician (Bus and Coach)
- IMI Level 3 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Repair & Replacement
