We are currently seeking a Vehicle Logistics Coordinator to join our team based in BYD UK Office, Hounslow, London area and reporting directly to the Operations Manager.

Main Tasks and responsibilities:

• Create seamless transition from body build to customer delivery
• Work closely with project management team to support with relevant delivery information
• Coordinate resources and requests among the project team and liaise with colleagues from our headquarters in China/UK build partner to ensure smooth delivery of projects
• Daily communication/updates with project management team and UK build partner on delivery plan
• Update the workshop manager for scheduling in vehicles regarding delivery plan from production sites
• Arrange meetings where necessary
• Raise concerns and propose solutions if there are issues regarding delivery timescale
• Generate weekly reports to Operations Managers
• Responsible for general daily logistics issues regarding vehicle deliveries
• Handle customers’ enquires and provide delivery summaries if necessary
• Maintain good relationships with customers, build partner and service providers
• Support HMRC import and export duties
• Provide support and cover for importation of new chassis
• Work with finance team to supply purchase orders to colleagues, business partners and customers
• Handle purchase requests and invoices and track payment process with finance team
• File and retrieve delivery notes and other documents
• Take accurate minutes of meetings as required
• Other related activities and contingent assignments

Ideal candidate profile:

• At least 1 year work experience in vehicle industry
• Office or administrative experience
• Confident communicator with good written and verbal communication skill in English
• Good time management with organisation skill including the ability to prioritise work
• Strong computer literacy- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Positive ‘can do’ and flexible attitude
• Business level Chinese language would be beneficial but not essential
• Eligible to work in the UK
