Pre-Delivery inspection (PDI) Specialist
About the role:
In this position you will play an important role to monitor and implement the pre-delivery inpection tasks on inbound and outbound vehicles to counties in CEE and some other markets as well. You will handing a scalable vehicle movements and deliveries.
- As a PDI Senior Specialist, you are responsible for providing the quality assurance of the vehicle deliveries. You work collaboratively with different logistics service providers and compounds to implement, control, and report the Pre delivery inspection on the new inbound vehicles, dwelled vehicles and outbound vehicles . Your work will generate a timely, complete and quality vehicle flow throughout the supply chain from HQ/factory to our dealers/end consumers all over the CEE. You will work with a team of logistics professionals abd PDI coordinators as well as many other enthusiatics colleagues holding the same green dreams. Your role is key to the smooth and quality level of deliveries as well as contribution to the continuous improvement.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities are including but not limited to :
- To plan, instruct, control and report the Pre Delivery Inspection of new inbound flow, dwelled and outbound flow of vehicles. Including, but not limited to: Damage inspection exterior and interior, review of vehicle components and accessories, damage claims, software and language setting & updates, assigning 3rd part inspectors and etc. Those works might be done by the company itself or by a third party LSP.
- Develop and continuously improve company processes for quality control and effective pre-delivery inspection of vehicles in all the ports and compounds designated in CEE.
- Develop detailed reports and identify trends for any issues that are discovered during the pre-delivery inspection.
- Perform root-cause analysis and collaborate extensively with quality/production/engineering departments to discover the root-cause of issues uncovered in the PDI process.
- Maintains accurate records of new vehicle arrivals and vehicles that have completed the PDI process to keep the ready for delivery list.
- To take the corrective action regardign the On Hold vehicles and ensure those are ready for delivery in due time.
- Coordinates with Delivery, Sales and Service teams to ensure their needs are incorporated into the PDI process.
- Develop strong relationships with our LSP’s, make sure that our demands are fully understood, well executed and prioritised based on our requirements.
- Displays a complete understanding of internal and external compliance standards that vehicles must meet to move through the company PDI process. Immediately escalates concerns of vehicles that do not adhere to this.
- Working location of this position includes both in the HQ office and the various compounds in the whole CEE. Travelling time around 30% or above.
- To coach and mentor the PDI coordinators in accordance with the company’s standards and instructions for vehicle PDI and quality to etablish
We hope you have:
- 3 to 5 plus years of experience in an automotive service or inspection role is required.
- A technical certification or degree is considered an asset.
- Excellent English language skills, Chinese, Dutch or any other European language will be considered as an advantage.
- Excellent Verbal & Written communication skills - builds effective Innovative relationships across departments and with the different service providers.
- Working with light machinery and knowledge of using appropriate power tools.
- Initiative to develop and implement process improvements. Continuous improvement outlook.
- Creative – love in building in the abstract and working without procedures.
- High level of interest and understanding of IT related Transport management systems.
- Stress-resilient with the problem –solving and result-oriental mindset
- Driver license B at least is a must-to-have.
