Used Car & Remarketing Sales Manager (Germany)
About the role
The Used Car & Remarketing Sales Manager (Germany) is responsible for all sales activities related to Used Cars & Remarketing in Germany, directly reporting into the Head of Remarketing Europe. You will fulfill a crucial role by working together with cross-functional teams to drive excellence and identify potential sales opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective remarketing strategies to maximize the resale value of used vehicles.
- Manage the daily relationships with the dealer network, remarketing managers and wholesale partners making sure they meet the most competitive SLAs amongst speed and performance.
- Analyze and monitor market trends, vehicle depreciation, and resale values to identify potential opportunities and risks.
- Conduct regular inspections of off-lease vehicles to assess condition and determine refurbishment needs.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with remarketing service providers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Utilize data analytics to track and report key performance indicators related to remarketing success.
- Stay abreast of industry developments and implement best practices to enhance remarketing processes.
- Work closely with the finance team to manage budgets and control remarketing expenses.
- Provide guidance and leadership to a team of remarketing professionals when necessary.
Required skills, qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in automotive remarketing, with a focus on maximizing resale values.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective partnerships.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership experience in managing a team of remarketing professionals.
- Knowledge of industry trends, market dynamics, and vehicle valuation methodologies.
- You speak English with business fluency, and German as good as native speaker.
