About BYD Auto Hungary

On 22 December 2023, BYD announced the construction of a new energy vehicle production base in Szeged, Hungary, which will be built in phases. The new production base is planned to adopt globally advanced process equipment and highly automated production processes to create a world-leading new energy vehicle manufacturing base.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overseeing the legal affairs of our Hungarian entities, including the formulation and implementation of risk prevention, control mechanisms, and emergency response protocols.
• Conduct legal and regulatory research related to the company’s business; provide sound legal advice to support decision-making and daily operations; assist in organizing legal training sessions.
• Identify, analyze, evaluate, and respond to legal risks associated with the operation of the Hungarian company.
• Provide legal support in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, internal policies, and other legal documents.
• Handle local litigation and non-litigation matters, including communication with external counsel and relevant authorities.
• Perform other legal-related tasks as assigned by management.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Law; solid understanding of Hungarian legal system; candidates with academic background in Hungary are preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant legal work experience; prior experience in the automotive industry is an advantage.
• Proven ability and experience in handling legal compliance matters, candidates familiar with competition law are preferred.
• Strong analytical, judgment, and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and coordination abilities; high execution efficiency; capable of working under pressure.
• Proactive, responsible, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and manage tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
• Proficiency in both English and Hungarian, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
