About the role and the department:

The Technical Sales department is responsible for managing technical communications with customers, ensuring internal alignment to meet customer requirements (including delivery, quality, and service), and maintaining strong, long-term customer relationships.

The Technical Sales Manager operates on the cross lines of the Project Management and Sales teams. He/she reports to the Manager–Technical Sales Europe and works closely together with the Regional Sales Manager-Benelux.

The Technical Sales Manager has a thorough understanding and demonstrable experience of all stages of project management with a focus on defining the project scope and customer requirements. The Technical Sales Manager will also give support to the sales team by maintaining a collaborative relationship with the customers and by giving assistance during the tender process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assessing together with EU and HQ Product team commercially and guide strategic projects with customers that request customized scope;

• Coordinate with local body builders, partners and BYD R&D team to ensure the chassis and body integration technically and commercially.

• Ensure coordination of product activities with BYD HQ in China through R&D, Production and other involved teams;

• To follow up EU truck projects, orders, and make sure on time deliveries.

• To propose product improvement developing recommendations;

• To assist KAM and Sales team with product related issues;

Main requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial vehicles business at similar level

• Educational background in engineering or equivalent skill level;

• Highly developed analytical skills;

• Knowledge of commercial vehicle market, preferably of European truck market, including its conversions and legal & tax conditions

• Highly developed communication and presentation skills

• Highly skilled Excel, PowerPoint and Word user;

• Willingness to travel.

• Fluent spoken and written in English
