About the role
The After-sales Manager – UK Region is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the after-sales engineering team and ensuring the seamless operation and maintenance of over 30 energy storage sites across the UK. This role involves managing a team of skilled engineers, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient issue resolution and process optimization. The manager will serve as the primary liaison between customers and the company, aligning after-sales services with business objectives and supporting the company’s growth strategy. Strong leadership, technical expertise, and a proactive approach are essential for success in this role.
Work Location: Hounslow, London and required to travel within the UK.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of 10+ after-sales engineers in the UK, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
Foster a collaborative, efficient, and accountable team culture to achieve high performance.
Conduct regular team meetings to monitor progress, address challenges, and implement solutions.
Oversee after-sales operations for over 30 energy storage sites across the UK, ensuring timely task completion and adherence to company standards.
Collaborate with engineers to resolve on-site technical issues promptly and maintain customer satisfaction.
Develop and implement standardized after-sales service processes to optimize efficiency and quality.
Drive continuous improvement efforts to reduce rework rates and customer complaints.
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring their needs are met and conducting regular site visits.
Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to support the company’s business growth and expansion.
Align the team with business objectives by planning for resource allocation, team development, and future growth.
Your profile:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Energy, Project Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in after-sales service management, ideally in energy storage or related industries.
Proven track record of managing cross-regional, multi-project teams and solving complex technical and managerial challenges.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and maintain a cohesive, high-performing team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Proficiency in after-sales processes, management tools, and strong project management expertise.
Familiarity with on-site Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and management practices in the UK.
Ability to work under pressure and provide timely responses to on-site issues.
Fluency in English is required; Chinese speaking is an advantage.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, service-oriented mindset.
Has right-to-work in the UK.
