Key Objectives & Responsibilities:

• Handle financial accounting work, especially be responsible for the accounting treatment of all business transactions in the areas of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and the general ledger.
• Manage payment transactions and serve as the contact person for suppliers and customers.
• Issued customer invoices, continuously processed outstanding items, and managed the debt collection process.
• Conduct the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, verify that all entries have been created and posted to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the accounts.
• Review and reconcile the general ledger.
• Participate in project activities as part of the continuous quality management of the accounting and reporting system.
• Support internal and external audit work.

Required skills, qualifications and experience

• Have several years of relevant professional experience in the accounting field.
• Possess solid and demonstrable knowledge of financial and asset accounting by the German Commercial Code (HGB).
• Be familiar with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and it would be better to have experience in US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP).
• Be able to confidently prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and have a commercial understanding.
• Have a strong ability to understand numbers and quickly grasp complex issues and situations.
• Have reliable knowledge of the relevant accounting software SAP and be proficient in operating it.
• Be proficient in Excel, and it is preferable to be familiar with other Microsoft Office programs as well.
• Be practical in work, have a high degree of self-organization ability, and be able to complete tasks on time.
• Have an analytical way of thinking and be willing to accept new knowledge and methods.
• Be flexible, have team spirit and communication skills.
• Have fluent written and spoken German and English, and knowing Chinese is a plus.
