About the role
The (Senior) Dealer Marketing Specialist NL is a core member of the sales team. You will act as a key liaison between the marketing department, BYD regional sales team, and the dealer network to ensure the effective execution of the local sales activation strategies and strengthen the brand’s influence in the local market. You will be a member of the BYD BeNeLux team and report directly to the Commercial Director BeNeLux.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creative Planning: Develop innovative sales activity ideas to help dealers enhance their market competitiveness.
- Budget: Develop an annual marketing and event budget plan in collaboration with the dealers.
- Brand Management: Develop and manage BYD brand guidelines to ensure brand consistency across all dealer channels.
- Marketing Planning: Develop annual/quarterly marketing plans for BYD dealers to align with overall brand strategy.
- Dealer Marketing Plan Management: Coordinate the approval and validation of dealer marketing plans, working closely with the zone managers and the marketing department to optimize execution processes.
- Local Market Event Support: Assist dealers in planning, organizing, and executing local sales events to enhance brand visibility and consumer engagement.
- Event Data Collection & Analysis: Track, collect, and analyze key data from dealer marketing activities to assess effectiveness.
- On-Site Support: Regularly visit dealerships to provide guidance and hands-on support for event activities, ensuring the successful implementation of promotional plans.
Key Objectives:
- Events and marketing activity planning & execution: Work closely with dealers to develop and implement effective events and marketing strategies that enhance brand awareness and drive showroom traffic.
- Market Trend Analysis: Gather and analyze event and marketing activity insights to propose innovative local market strategies.
- Budget Management: Plan, analyze and optimize events and marketing expenses to ensure efficient resource allocation and maximum market impact.
- Dealer Empowerment: Provide strategic event and marketing advice and guidance to regional managers and dealers to optimize their promotional efforts and drive sales performance.
- Effective Communication & Coordination: Ensure all dealers receive timely marketing updates to improve campaign execution and brand influence.
- On-Site Support: Offer direct assistance to dealers in executing marketing activities effectively.
Required skills, qualifications and experience:
- Marketing or related education.
- Minimum 3 years working experience as Sales, Retail or Marketing specialist in the Dutch Automotive industry.
- Excellent in Dutch, as well as strong command of the English language
- In-depth knowledge and passion about the brands, products, and technologies of the European automotive industry.
- Excellent teamwork, communication and interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize and work proactively with efficient time management skills.
- Ability to work in a rapidly developing, dynamic environment and partner effectively with cross-border/cultural teams.
- Ability to travel occasionally with primary focus on Dutch market, maintaining close connections with dealer partners, team members and HQ.
