About BYD Auto Hungary
On 22 December 2023, BYD announced the construction of a new energy vehicle production base in Szeged, Hungary, which will be built in phases. The new production base is planned to adopt globally advanced process equipment and highly automated production processes to create a world-leading new energy vehicle manufacturing base.
BYD Auto Hungary is looking for a versatile and dynamic HR Generalist to join our Country HR Team.
About the role
We are seeking an organized and proactive HR Generalist to join our team in Hungary, Szeged. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth and compliant HR operations throughout the employee lifecycle — from pre-employment medical checks and onboarding to offboarding and labor administration.
This position is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys both administrative accuracy and people interaction, with a strong understanding of Hungarian labor law and HR best practices.
Job Responsibilities:
Medical Check Process:
- Coordinate mandatory pre-employment and periodic medical examinations.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
Onboarding:
- Prepare employment contracts and onboarding documentation in accordance with local legislation.
- Facilitate smooth new hire integration, including induction coordination and HR system setup.
Offboarding:
- Manage exit procedures, including documentation, final payments, and deregistration processes.
- Conduct exit interviews and ensure compliance with company and legal requirements.
Labor Administration:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Prepare and submit required reports to authorities and payroll.
- Ensure all HR-related activities comply with Hungarian labor law.
- Support audits and internal HR reporting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1 year of experience in an HR administrative or generalist role, fresh graduate with
- HR knowledge and training is also acceptable.
- Strong knowledge of Hungarian labor law and HR compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills in Hungarian and English (written and spoken).
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with HRIS systems is an advantage.
