About the Role
As a strategic partner within the People & Culture team, the HR Business Partner will support business operations across Hungary, Switzerland, and Austria. Reporting to the Regional Head of HR, you will align business objectives with employees and management, serving as a trusted advisor, change driver, and employee champion. This is a pivotal role delivering proactive, value-added HR solutions and fostering an inclusive, high-performing workplace for a future-oriented, zero-emission mobility company.
Human Resources Business Partner Responsibilities in Hungary, Switzerland, and Austria
- Cultivate strong partnerships with business leaders and managers to deliver effective people strategies and drive the achievement of key business goals.
- Provide guidance and coaching on a wide range of HR topics, including talent acquisition, employee relations, organisational development, performance management, and workforce planning.
- Ensure the consistent application of policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance specific to Hungarian, Swiss, and Austrian employment laws.
- Act as a change management champion—supporting leaders and teams through transformation, organisational design, and cultural development initiatives.
- Leverage people analytics and HR data to recommend proactive interventions, monitor trends, and measure the effectiveness of HR programmes.
- Coordinate and support the roll-out of global and regional HR projects, ensuring local relevance and impact for diverse teams.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I), aligning local HR initiatives with the company’s values and purpose-driven vision.
- Advise line managers on reward, recognition, and retention strategies that contribute to employee engagement and business performance.
- Facilitate ongoing learning and development opportunities to support employee growth and future competencies.
- Maintain positive employee relations, mediate conflicts, and drive proactive solutions that foster a respectful, high-trust work environment.
Essential Skills and Experience for HR Business Partner Roles in Hungary, Switzerland, and Austria
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Business Administration or a related field.
- Significant experience (ideally3-5 years) in an HRBP/HR Generalist capacity within international environments, with a strong track record of partnering with business units in Hungary, Switzerland, and/or Austria.
- Proficiency in Hungarian and/or German; English fluency is essential. Additional regional languages are advantageous.
- Strong understanding of local labour legislations, employment practices, and industrial relations within the region.
- Excellent relationship management, communication, and influencing skills, with cultural intelligence and adaptability.
- Keen analytical, problem-solving and consulting expertise with strong business acumen.
- Confident user of HRIS, digital tools, and people analytics platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, matrixed settings and to operate both strategically and hands-on.
- Commitment to confidentiality, ethical standards, and data privacy.
