About Logistics Department
The Logistics Department manages the inbound, storage, and distribution of all passenger vehicles across Europe. In the Compound Operations function, the department ensures smooth daily coordination with European compounds, accurate stock handling, PDI/repair readiness, and compliant operational documentation. This role is essential to maintaining efficient vehicle flow, cost compliance, and overall delivery performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee inbound to outbound: Inbound customs clearance for commercial vehicles (BUS, TRUCK and Tractor etc.) and outbound door to door transportation to workshop/end customers, including daily EU transport request for demo/exhibition/test vehicles; approve and handle the payment of invoices, and update status.
Maintain database: set up, archive and update inbound logistics data, trade modes, and stock lists in company databases and support the development of IT system.
Logistics Coordination: Plan multi-modal transport for commercial vehicles from EU ports to destinations (dealers, ports, customers).
Network Optimization: Improve efficiency, reduce costs supported by procurement team, and minimize vehicle dwell time at ports.
Carrier Management: Negotiate with haulers, allocate drivers, monitor performance, and build strong supplier relationships supported by procurement team.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with project managers to meet delivery demands.
Documentation & Compliance: Process transport documents, manage customs, and ensure adherence to EU transport regulations and safety guidelines.
Issue Resolution: Address customer queries, complaints, and resolve transport-related disputes proactively.
Reporting: Track budgets, expenses, and performance metrics, providing feedback for process improvement.
Claim: Support claim for misperformance and damages by logistics service providers led by claim team.
Perform other administrative and operational tasks assigned by leadership.
Requirements:
Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related field.
Strong skills at data management, communication, strong attention to details and problem-solving.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Proactive, rigorous, conscientious, meticulous, and actively involved in teamwork; excellent communication, negotiation, adaptability, self-motivation, and ability to work under pressure.
Good English listening, speaking, reading and writing skills; English can be used as a working language.
