About the Role
As After-sales Technician (On-site), you will provide dedicated on-site technical support at our customer’s production plant / warehouse in Trnava, Slovakia. Acting as the first line of support for battery-related operational issues, you will help ensure smooth daily operations, timely issue resolution, and strong customer satisfaction.
This role combines hands-on technical diagnostics, quality issue management, customer coordination, and return logistics support. It is ideal for a technically skilled candidate who enjoys working directly in an operational environment and being the bridge between the customer and BYD’s engineering and quality teams.
Key Objectives & Responsibilities
On-site Technical Support
Provide on-site support at the customer’s production line and warehouse.
Monitor battery performance during operation and identify abnormalities or risks.
Perform basic electrical testing and first-level technical checks.
Quality Issue Handling
Identify, record, and classify on-site quality issues.
Report technical and quality issues to internal teams in a timely and structured manner.
Follow up on issue resolution until closure, ensuring end-to-end case tracking.
Customer Interface & Coordination
Act as the primary on-site contact point for the customer.
Maintain close communication with customer representatives regarding technical issues and progress.
Coordinate with internal quality, engineering, and aftersales teams to ensure fast response and effective solutions.
Return & Logistics Handling
Manage collection, labeling, and return process of defective batteries and related components.
Ensure accurate data recording, including serial numbers, quantities, and product condition.
Support return logistics processes and documentation.
Reporting & Data Support
Prepare regular on-site technical and operational reports.
Support issue analysis, data collection, and reporting consolidation.
Provide structured feedback to support continuous quality improvement.

Required Qualifications & Competencies
Experience
1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, automotive, battery, or related technical industries.
Experience in on-site aftersales, field support, or resident engineer roles is an advantage.
Technical Skills
Proficient in using standard diagnostic tools, including:
Multimeter
Insulation tester
Similar electrical diagnostic equipment
Ability to perform basic electrical testing and first-level fault identification.
Experience with quality tools (e.g. 8D, 5Why) is an advantage.
Familiarity with PCAN or other advanced diagnostic software is a plus.
Industry Experience
Experience in EV battery, new energy vehicle, or automotive manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
Experience working with European customers or projects is an advantage.
Languages
Fluent Slovak and English (written and spoken).
Chinese language skills are a strong advantage.

Ability to work independently at customer site while maintaining strong internal alignment.
