BYD Europe BV located in Schiedam, Netherlands is the marketing and sales HQ of BYD Co., Ltd based in Shenzhen, China. BYD Europe BV offers a full line of BYD electric vehicles, including all-electric cars, all-electric buses, and all-electric forklift trucks.
Job Responsibilities:
Purchase order management and fulfillment: Receiving, reviewing, managing and fulfilling Purchase orders from dealers on a monthly base, and ship the vehicle in POs under available Credit Line(Sinosure) in FIFO principle.
Deliver plan making: Based on dealer’s expectation and PO sequence, planning and proceeding the delivery plan on a monthly base, and provide up-to-date information on deliveries for all stakeholders.
Monthly 3+3 coordination and production follow up: Working closely with sales to collect 3+3 forecast by 10th of each month and transfer it to production order by 20th of each month.
Production and CN shipment monitoring: Closely following up the production and CN sailing plan, escalating as soon as the delay identified, and work proactively to lower any risk of delay.
Outbound Management: Managing the distribution of vehicles from central compound across EU to Greece and Cyprus, ensuring timely, high-quality deliveries. This includes overseeing fulfillment orders, ensuring that customer and dealer requirements are met efficiently. Proactively communicate with logistics partners and dealers to guarantee smooth operations, resolve potential issues, and provide updates on order statuses.
Cross-functional communication: Maintaining effective communication with internal teams across Europe, colleagues in BYD China HQ, Logistics Service Providers (LSPs), and dealers to ensure seamless operations. Relationship building with EU planner/operation to make sure the urgent demands are covered as much as possible & excess stock can be taken over by other markets.
System Operations: Work with CRM, SAP, and other systems to control processes for cargo movement, financial reporting, and data tracking.
Real-Time Information Management: Organize and provide up-to-date information on Purchase Orders (POs) and deliveries for all stakeholders.
Continuous Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in logistics workflows to enhance efficiency and service levels.
Cost Control: Monitor and manage logistics costs, ensuring the selection of the most efficient and cost-effective transport and distribution solutions.
Main Tasks:
Coordinating daily communication with dealers, CN and EU colleagues, and LSPs(shipping line), to make sure on-time delivery.
Working with Sales and Finance to make sure every shipment is under Credit. No Credit no shipment. And managing the payment receivable on a monthly base.
Attending bi-weekly meeting with dealers, weekly Operation Meeting and all meetings regarding production and CN shipment.
Arranging and oversee local transport as well as transport from EU ports to the compound or to dealer, selecting the most suitable suppliers and modes (trucking, ocean shipping, or both).
Monitoring the real-time status of shipments and transportation through regular contact with LSPs.
Handling and deliver commercial documents (e.g., invoices and COC) to the relevant parties.
Maintaining and update data within systems (CRM, SAP) and offline tools like Excel.
Attend monthly review meetings with logistics suppliers to assess performance and explore improvements.
Preparing and manage paperwork for both internal and external purposes.
Monitoring and resolve potential bottlenecks, exploring ways to optimize workflows.
Providing general support for logistics-related procedures when needed.
Job requirements:
Excellent English language skills and Chinese, any other European language will be considered as an advantage;
BA or MA preferably in Business Administration, or Economics, or Finance/Accounting, or international trade or similar
Extended MS user skills (MS Excel, Word, PPT).
Preferably up to 5 years working experience, and 2-3 years of related working experience or graduate of related study field
