About the role:
As the Manager Fleet in BYD Norway, you will be overseeing the commercial strategy and execution for the fleet market, including leasing companies, corporate accounts, fleet operators (Taxi, RaC, Car Sharing and mobility platforms) and institutional customers (municipalities, government and special fleets).
Used car remarketing, residual value (RV), total cost of ownership (TCO) optimization, and Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) program management will also be an essential part of the fleet sales scope, ensuring sustainable volume growth and long-term brand value.
You will be a part of BYD Norwegian core team, and closely collaborate with leasing, rental, and financial service partners, as well as collaborating with internal stakeholders such as International Key Accounts, Finance, Pricing, Supply Chain, and Operations. A key priority is to build and lead a high-performing, commercial-driven fleet team, hiring and coaching competitive talent, and translating strategic objectives into actionable business plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Fleet Sales & Business Development
Develop and execute fleet sales strategies aligned with the company’s commercial objectives. Identify and acquire new fleet customers, including corporates, rental companies, and public sector clients.
Promote tailored vehicle solutions to fleet customers.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to optimize sales approach.
Key Account Management
Manage and grow relationships with key fleet and strategic accounts.
Act as the main point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Develop account plans and proactively identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and tender processes.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
Work closely with internal teams (sales, product, finance, aftersales, and marketing) to deliver integrated solutions.
Coordinate with leasing partners and dealers to ensure seamless customer experience.
Support implementation of fleet programs and customer onboarding.
Reporting & Performance Tracking
Track sales performance, pipeline development, and account profitability.
Prepare regular reports and forecasts for management.
Ensure CRM systems are updated with accurate customer and sales data.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required:
Entrepreneurial mindset with a commercial, results-driven and proactive approach.
Proven success in passenger car fleet sales, with a strong network across leasing companies, corporate fleets, and institutional customers in the Norwegian market.
Strong leadership capabilities with analytical, strategic, and data-driven decision-making skills.
Solid experience in fleet pricing, contract negotiation, residual value, TCO management, and large-scale account development.
Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills in Norwegian and English (written and spoken).
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-growing, dynamic, and international organization.
Higher education level; experience in automotive, mobility, or financial services is a strong advantage.
