EHS Assistant Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
1. On-site Safety Management and Supervision
Assist in conducting daily on-site safety inspections to identify unsafe acts and conditions.
Monitor and support the implementation of Permit-to-Work (PTW) procedures for high-risk operations.
Follow up on corrective actions and ensure identified hazards are eliminated in a timely manner.
2. Risk Assessment and Compliance
Participate in Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), hazard identification, and risk assessments.
Assist in preparing, collecting, and maintaining EHS documentation required by Hungarian regulations, including chemical inventories and inspection records for special equipment.
Support internal and external EHS audits, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 compliance activities.
3. Training and Safety Culture Development
Assist in organizing and delivering EHS training for employees, visitors, and contractors.
Participate in the preparation of safety awareness materials (bulletin boards, visual SOPs, safety campaigns).
Support Safety Month activities, emergency response drills, evacuation exercises, and fire safety training programs.
4. Incident Investigation and EHS Reporting
Assist in the preliminary investigation of minor incidents, injuries, and near misses; support root cause analysis and implementation of preventive measures.
Compile and maintain monthly EHS reports, including injury statistics (LTIR/TRIR), energy consumption data, and waste management records.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required:
Familiarity with international EHS management systems and standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
Basic working proficiency in English, including report writing and cross-department communication.
Knowledge of Hungarian occupational health and safety regulations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
Strong safety awareness, attention to detail, and on-site observation skills.
High level of integrity and strong communication and coordination skills.
Advantages:
