About the Role
As Finance Manager – Business Partnering & Financial Control, you will support the financial management of BYD Passenger Vehicle Sales operations across the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Acting as a key finance business partner to commercial and operational stakeholders, you will help ensure strong financial governance, statutory compliance, and high-quality financial reporting while supporting the company’s continued growth.
This role combines hands-on financial management, financial control, reporting, budgeting, and business partnering responsibilities. You will work closely with external accounting providers, internal stakeholders, and Group Finance teams to provide financial insights, improve decision-making, and ensure compliance with local regulations and BYD Group standards.
This position is ideal for an experienced Finance Manager, Senior Financial Controller, Finance Business Partner, Commercial Finance Analyst, or Accounting Manager looking to broaden their exposure in a fast-growing international automotive company.
The role focuses on operational finance management, financial control, business partnering, and local compliance activities rather than executive-level corporate finance or investor relations responsibilities.
Key Objectives & Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
Support financial management activities across Czech Republic and Slovakia, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and business analysis.
Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements.
Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting to regional leadership and Group headquarters.
Monitor financial performance and provide actionable insights to support decision-making and business growth.
Support the budgeting and forecasting process and track performance against targets.
Accounting Governance & External Provider Management
Manage and coordinate external accounting service providers to ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and BYD Group policies.
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness of financial records.
Support implementation and maintenance of Group financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Coordinate month-end and year-end closing activities with internal and external stakeholders.
Tax & Compliance
Support tax filing, tax planning, and compliance activities.
Coordinate communication with local tax authorities, auditors, and external advisors.
Ensure adherence to financial regulatory requirements across Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Monitor changes in accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements and assess business impact.
Cash Flow & Financial Operations
Support cash flow planning and monitoring activities.
Coordinate banking relationships and financial administration activities.
Contribute to maintaining financial stability, liquidity visibility, and operational efficiency.
Commercial Finance & Business Partnering
Provide financial evaluation and support for sales policies, dealer business models, and commercial initiatives.
Support pricing strategies, incentive schemes, profitability analysis, and business case evaluations.
Act as a finance business partner to Sales, Operations, Marketing, and other business functions.
Translate financial data into meaningful recommendations for non-finance stakeholders.
Process Improvement & Financial Control
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting quality, and internal controls.
Support finance process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
Contribute to enhancing financial transparency and operational efficiency across the organization.

Required Qualifications & Competencies
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
5–8 years of relevant experience in finance, controlling, accounting, audit, or business finance roles.
Previous experience as a Finance Manager, Senior Financial Controller, Finance Business Partner, Commercial Finance Analyst, or Accounting Manager is highly desirable.
Experience in multinational organizations, shared-service environments, or international business environments is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of Czech accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements.
Experience with Slovak accounting and tax regulations is considered an advantage.
Technical & Business Skills
Strong financial analysis capability and commercial mindset.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and financial controlling.
High level of risk awareness and governance orientation.
Experience managing external accounting providers, auditors, and financial stakeholders.
Strong Excel and financial reporting skills; ERP experience is an advantage.
Languages
English and Czech as working languages.
Slovak language skills are an advantage.
Chinese language skills are a strong advantage.
