Social Media Operations Specialist

We are looking for a Social Media Operations Specialist to support the planning, coordination, and execution of social media and content initiatives across Europe.
This role is ideal for someone who combines a strong understanding of social media, content creation, and digital marketing with exceptional project management and organisational skills. You will act as a key operational hub between internal stakeholders, local markets, agencies, production partners, and suppliers, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
Social Media Operations & Project Management
Act as the key coordination point for social media and content-related projects across Europe.
Manage project timelines, deliverables, approvals, and stakeholder communication across multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Establish and maintain project tracking systems, documentation processes, and operational workflows that ensure visibility and accountability across all workstreams.
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of campaigns, content productions, events, and social media activities.
Identify risks, bottlenecks, or delays proactively and drive solutions to keep projects on track.
Support resource planning and prioritisation across multiple markets and business needs.
Agency, Supplier & Production Management
Manage relationships with social media agencies, creative partners, production companies, freelancers, and external suppliers.
Coordinate briefing, feedback, approval, and delivery processes across content and campaign projects.
Support the planning and execution of content productions, including product launches, events, brand activations, and social-first campaigns.
Ensure agencies and suppliers consistently deliver work that meets agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Facilitate effective communication between all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Budget & Contract Management
Track and manage social media and content-related budgets across multiple projects and markets.
Support procurement processes, purchase orders, supplier onboarding, contract administration, and invoice management.
Maintain accurate records of project expenditures, budgets, contracts, and approvals.
Work closely with internal departments to ensure compliance with company processes and financial procedures.
Monitor budget performance and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Social Media & Content Excellence
Support the implementation of BYD Europe's social media strategy across multiple European markets.
Review and coordinate social media content, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines, campaign objectives, and platform best practices.
Provide clear and constructive feedback to agencies and creative partners to maintain high-quality standards.
Stay informed on emerging social media trends, platform developments, and content formats.
Support content planning and calendar coordination across markets and campaigns.
European Market Coordination
Work closely with local market teams across Europe to coordinate social media activities and campaign execution.
Support localisation efforts while maintaining brand consistency across all markets.
Facilitate communication between headquarters, local teams, agencies, and external partners.
Ensure alignment of campaign timelines, launch plans, and content priorities across regions.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
Track project progress, resource allocation, and operational performance across ongoing initiatives.
Support social media reporting and performance analysis in collaboration with internal teams and agency partners.
Prepare regular updates and summaries for key stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflows, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Experience
3–5 years of experience in project management, social media, content marketing, digital marketing, or a related field.
Proven experience coordinating complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, agencies, and deadlines.
Experience managing budgets, contracts, procurement processes, or supplier relationships.
Experience working in international or multi-market environments is highly desirable.
Experience supporting content productions, photo shoots, video productions, or brand activations is a strong advantage.
Automotive industry experience is a big advantage.
Skills
Strong project management and organisational capabilities.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Strong understanding of social media platforms, content creation processes, and digital marketing fundamentals.
Experience working with agencies, creative teams, and production partners.
Confidence managing budgets, contracts, approvals, and operational processes.
Ability to build structure, improve workflows, and drive projects forward in fast-paced environments.
Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools.
Communication
Fluent English is mandatory.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities.
Comfortable working in a multicultural and international environment.
