Homologation Specialist | Croatia & Slovenia
About the role
As Homologation Specialist for Croatia and Slovenia, you take care of the day-to-day homologation and type approval work for our full model range in both markets. You are the local point of reference for vehicle compliance: certificates of conformity, national approval procedures, and the technical data behind every model we bring to market.
This is one role covering two markets. Croatian and Slovenian homologation run in parallel, and both are equally part of the job.
You will work with colleagues across Europe and China and with the approval authorities in both countries.
Key Responsibilities
Homologation and type approval
Handle the day-to-day homologation of BYD and Denza vehicles in Croatia and in Slovenia.
Manage certificates of conformity and type approval documentation, including approval extensions and model year changes.
Run national approval procedures and keep a good working relationship with the approval authorities and technical services in both countries.
Submit end-of-series notifications and keep track of them: which vehicles from each notification have already been registered, and which are still open as the deadline approaches.
Keep an orderly, complete archive of approvals and conformity documents.
Regulations and technical data
Follow European and national regulatory developments and translate them into what needs to happen here, with clear deadlines, before they become a problem.
Check and maintain the technical data of our vehicles — consumption, range, CO2, masses and dimensions, battery and charging — and keep it consistent across factory documentation, certificates of conformity, price lists, configurators and registration systems in both markets.
Provide the regulatory input for new model launches and keep homologation milestones on schedule.
Support to the dealer network
Be the first point of contact for dealers on homologation, registration documentation and vehicle technical data.
Support registration processes and resolve individual cases together with the relevant authorities.
Required skills, qualifications and experience
A technical education or comparable practical experience. An engineering background is welcome, but it is not a condition.
Around three to five years of professional experience, ideally in the automotive sector. We are equally open to candidates earlier in their career: if you have read the responsibilities above and believe you can do this work, please apply. We are prepared to train the right person.
Experience in homologation, type approval or vehicle registration is an advantage, as is previous contact with approval authorities.
An interest in working with technical vehicle data and regulatory documents, and the patience to keep both accurate.
Oral and written fluency in Croatian and English. Slovenian is an advantage.
Willingness to cover both markets, including occasional travel.
Reliable with documentation and deadlines.
Valid driving license B or equivalent driving license for passenger cars.
We offer
The opportunity to work on zero-emission mobility in a fast-growing company, in two markets where the transition to electric vehicles is still being shaped.
Competitive remuneration based on performance and experience.
International learning opportunities, team building, and events marking special days and milestones.
