We are looking for an experienced Romanian-speaking Recruitment Specialist who understands the local labor market and can independently drive end-to-end recruitment projects, with a particular focus on large-scale blue-collar recruitment. This role will play a key part in building our local recruitment network, developing partnerships, and attracting qualified candidates from Romania to support our growing operations in Hungary.
The primary work location will be Szeged, Hungary. Depending on the development of our recruitment activities in Romania, there may also be opportunities to support the establishment of a local recruitment office in Romania.
What Will You Do?
1. Lead Recruitment Projects
- Independently manage end-to-end recruitment activities for blue-collar positions, from candidate sourcing and screening to interview coordination, offer follow-up, and onboarding coordination.
- Develop and execute recruitment plans to meet hiring targets, particularly for large-scale operator recruitment.
- Monitor recruitment progress, analyze hiring results, and take timely action to improve delivery efficiency.
2. Develop Recruitment Channels in Romania
- Identify, develop, and maintain local recruitment channels, including online platforms, employment agencies, labor suppliers, job fairs, and local employment offices.
- Build partnerships with local recruitment agencies, vocational schools, universities, and other relevant organizations.
- Explore new talent pools and recruitment opportunities across Romania to support BYD Hungary's workforce needs.
3. Manage Candidate Engagement and Coordination
- Communicate with Romanian candidates in their native language, introduce job opportunities, and maintain effective candidate relationships throughout the recruitment process.
- Coordinate candidate interviews, documentation, and travel or arrival arrangements where necessary.
- Support candidates throughout the recruitment and pre-employment process to ensure a smooth candidate experience.
4. Recruitment Data and Process Management
- Track recruitment KPIs, candidate pipelines, channel performance, and hiring costs.
- Prepare regular recruitment reports and provide market insights to support workforce planning and recruitment decisions.
- Ensure recruitment activities comply with applicable local employment, data protection, and recruitment-related requirements.
5. Cross-border Recruitment Development
- Work closely with the Hungarian HR team and relevant business departments to align recruitment plans with workforce demand.
- Provide insights into Romanian labor market conditions, salary expectations, talent availability, and recruitment practices.
- Contribute to the development of BYD's recruitment presence in Romania, including potential support for establishing a local recruitment office.
What We Are Looking For
- Language skills: Fluent Romanian and English are essential. Hungarian and/or Chinese language skills are a strong advantage.
- Recruitment experience: Proven hands-on experience in recruitment, preferably in blue-collar, manufacturing, automotive, or high-volume recruitment in Romania.
- Project ownership: Ability to independently plan, manage, and deliver recruitment projects against hiring targets.
- Local market knowledge: Good understanding of the Romanian labor market, candidate sourcing channels, and local recruitment practices.
- Communication and relationship building: Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with candidates and external partners.
- Analytical skills: Ability to track recruitment data, evaluate channel effectiveness, and identify opportunities to improve recruitment performance.
- Working style: Proactive, results-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment.
- Mobility: Willingness to travel to Romania when required.
Why Join BYD?
- Make a real impact: Play a key role in supporting the expansion of a major international automotive manufacturing project in Hungary.
- Build something from the ground up: Help establish and expand recruitment channels in Romania and contribute to a growing cross-border recruitment network.
- Take ownership: Lead recruitment projects and see the direct results of your work.
- Work internationally: Collaborate with colleagues and business teams across different countries and cultures.
