Logistics Specialist (Automotive)
About the role:
The Logistics Specialist- Inbound Flow plays a crucial role in managing the incoming flow of finished vehicles. This role involves overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of processes related to receiving, inspecting, and distributing finished vehicles to their designated locations.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and updating of logistics database including inbound shipments, volumes, models customs clearance, and transportation status;
- Arranging the road, sea, and rail transport solutions for vehicle transportation, by selecting the most capable logistics suppliers;
- Planning and Executing Transportation planning of finished vehicles in Europe.
- Effective communication and daily contact with local logistics service partners to follow up on the real-time status of the shipments/transportation;
- Control the logistics cost and provide the most efficient logistics solution;
- Collaborating closely and connecting Internally with outbound & distribution operations, Sales, Finance, Business Planning, and IT Departments;
- Proficiency in operating and optimizing transportation management systems (TMS) and Warehouse Management Systems;
- Keen Insight into and forecasting of supply chain flow;
- Multitasking across multiple cases simultaneously;
- Inquiry and contract bidding for logistic service providers' quotations;
- Monitoring potential problems and bottlenecks and exploring ways to improve working flow;
- Dealing with the related paperwork for internal and external purposes;
- Involved in monthly review meetings with logistics suppliers;
- Keeping track of all the shipments and preparing all necessary documents and payments.
Your profile:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field;
- Proven experience in logistics, customs clearance, transportation, and database management;
- Proficiency in TMS, WMS, SAP, and/or other ERP systems;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities;
- Result-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency;
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
