About the department:

The Austrian Sales Department within BYD Europe’s organization is responsible for developing and implementing sales as well as other product-, customer- and brand-related strategies specific to the local market. The main goal of this department is to optimize sales performance, enhance a professional customer journey and drive sustainable business growth in the Austrian market.

As Business Development Specialist (Position) you will:

The business development specialist reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager. In this role, you will be fully supporting and contributing to the overall expansion strategy of BYD in Austria and developing measures to drive sales performance in the local market. You will be working closely with the European Sales, Product and Marketing colleagues as well as with the team of our distributor partner.

Key Objectives and Responsibilities:

• Identify and work on viable sales concepts and attractive business opportunities focusing on B2C and B2B channels
• Provide Market Insights and Competitor Benchmarking in the area of responsibility
• Define together with the Sales and Product team suitable pricing strategies
• Learn about our products & services and introduce improvement plans to our product and sales operations team
• Work on pre-sale packages and steer product launch plans locally to enable smooth and professional product introduction to the market
• Review and improve Sales and other customer satisfaction KPIs by developing sustainable measures for the business

Your profile:  

1. University Degree in Business Administration or similar studies.
2. Solid Experience in Automotive industry and/or Sales/Marketing/Business Development with focus on Retail Products (understanding of the automotive business is an advantage)
3. Customer-oriented mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
4. Able to prioritize and work proactively with efficient time management skills.
5. Resilient and open minded, results oriented with ability to work to deadlines with proactive hands on approach
6. Effective and eloquent communicator in English & German language mandatory (Other European languages and/or Mandarin Chinese would be a plus.)
