Your Role
As the Senior Network Development Manager for BYD Benelux, you'll lead the expansion and optimization of our BYD and DENZA brand dealership network across the Netherlands, Belgium, and Luxembourg. Heading our Network Development Department, you'll work closely with our regional partners to recruit and develop dealers who align with our CI/VI Guidelines and Dealer Operating Standards.
Your critical role ensures that our dealer network invests in the necessary infrastructure and operates under BYD’s standards of excellence. You will report directly to the Commercial Director Benelux.
Location: Hoofddorp, the Netherlands
Your Tasks
Lead, develop, and shape the BYD Benelux network development team. Establish and maintain smooth cross-functional and cultural work relationships with departments in BYD Europe and HQ in China.
- Analyze the current Benelux market representation and open point locations, creating comprehensive reports on market data, demographics, potential candidates, optimal dealer locations, competition presence vs. other mainstream and premium brands, and high-net-worth households to identify commercial opportunities.
- Research the local market to shortlist suitable dealer candidates based on operational and liquidity criteria. Conduct interviews and assessments, creating recommendations supported by relevant data.
- Steer and ensure all legal documentation, including but not limited to Letters of Intent (LOI), and Dealer Agreements (DA), adhere to local legislation and BYD/DENZA guidelines.
- Closely follow up dealer appointment process, including facility development, staff recruitment and training, initial stock orders, Dealer Operating Standards review, and suitable launch activities
- Roll out the BYD/DENZA Ignition Program, providing training on processes to assist new-to-brand dealers during the “go live” process
- Conduct quarterly reviews to identify profitability, liquidity, and operational concerns, formulate plans and collaborate with the regional partners, and support on location to bring necessary improvements in operations, NPS and P&L.
Key Objectives
Plan and meet the quarterly network development target (Qty. & Quality).
- CI (Corporate Identity) & VI (Visual Identity) implementation to new/existing network.
- Dealer site management (Visit, see, and improve NPS scoring).
- Continuously enhance dealership performance metrics, addressing and providing solutions for challenges to drive sustainable growth.
You have
- Bachelor's degree or higher in business management, engineering, or legal fields.
- Minimal 8 years in the automotive industry for retail network development relevant roles.
- Expertise in project management, business acumen, financial statement analysis, and dealer performance reviews.
- Fluency in English and Dutch/French is a must; Chinese language proficiency would be a plus.
- In-depth knowledge and passion about the European automotive industry's history, brands, products, and technologies.
- Self-motivated and able to work in a rapidly developing, dynamic environment and partner effectively with cross-border/cultural teams.
- Excellent coaching, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record of positive influence in teams.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, maintaining close connections with partners and BYD HQ.
