About BYD Auto Hungary

On 22 December 2023, BYD announced the construction of a new energy vehicle production base in Szeged, Hungary, which will be built in phases. The new production base is planned to adopt globally advanced process equipment and highly automated production processes to create a world-leading new energy vehicle manufacturing base.

BYD Auto Hungary is looking for a versatile and dynamic Deputy Manager to join our Auto manufacturing division.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support daily operations across assigned manufacturing units, ensuring smooth workflow and target achievement.
• Execute and monitor production plans, coordinating with relevant departments to meet deadlines and quality expectations.
• Identify and resolve production issues, implement improvements in processes, equipment use, and labor efficiency.
• Ensure quality control and continuous improvement, adhering to internal standards and customer requirements.
• Oversee team development, including training, performance evaluation, and promoting a positive work environment.
• Manage workplace safety and compliance, including regular inspections, safety education, and incident prevention.
• Supervise equipment and tool management, ensuring correct use, maintenance, and operational efficiency.
• Implement 5S and lean manufacturing principles to maintain an organized, clean, and efficient production environment.
• Support new product introductions and process innovations, ensuring successful trials and integration.
• Prepare reports and communicate with senior management, providing insights and action plans on departmental performance.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in automotive manufacturing, preferably in Assembly, Welding, Stamping, or Painting.
• Fluent in Hungarian and English (B2+); Chinese is a plus.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a hands-on approach and team orientation.
• Proficient in office software and production systems (e.g., Excel, ERP, 4M1E, LEAN, 5S, HPV).
