Key Account Project Sales Specialist

Objective:
The Key Account Project Sales Specialist will support the growth and efficiency of the Key Accounts segment within BYD Europe’s Forklift Division. This role will ensure accurate and timely processing of Key Account orders, coordinate closely with regional Key Account Managers, manage demo unit scheduling and transport, and monitor deadlines and fleet usage for rentals or bridging units. As part of the Sales Administration logistics team, the specialist will also handle additional support tasks and act as the main sales support contact for Key Account clients across Europe.
Location and Work Setup:
This is a full-time, in-office position based at BYD Europe’s headquarters in Schiedam, the Netherlands. Remote or hybrid work is not available for this role.
Reporting Line:
The Key Account Project Sales Specialist will report directly to the Manager of the Sales Administration Department for the Forklift Division at BYD Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Key Account Managers across different European regions with sales administrative tasks and project coordination.
- Ensure all sales and order details are accurately completed in order forms, in line with company processes.
- Track and manage lead times for Key Account orders and keep relevant stakeholders updated.
- Act as the primary point of contact for sales support related to Key Accounts.
- Maintain accurate records and tracking tools to ensure transparency and accountability in Key Account operations.
- Track project milestones and deadlines for Key Account activities. Coordinate demo unit schedules, transport logistics, and site planning.
- As part of the Sales Admin Logistic team, contribute to various operational and support activities as needed to ensure smooth operations within a small, flexible team environment. This may include, but is not limited to:
- Monitoring demo deadlines and ensuring timely return or transition of units.
- Managing fleet movements, particularly in the case of rental or bridging-over agreements.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy — essential for managing specifications and documentation in customer orders.
- A customer-centric mindset, with a genuine interest in delivering quality service and understanding the real-world impact of their work.
- Proactive, adaptable, and willing to support a variety of tasks across the team, especially in a dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- A collaborative team player with a positive and helpful attitude.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English, other languages are a plus.
- Solid working knowledge of MS Office tools (Excel, Outlook, etc.); experience with ERP/order systems is a plus.
- Experience in a logistics, sales support, or administrative role is a plus but not mandatory.
