The R&D department plans the sustainable product and technology road map for Europe and works on developing advanced, full electric vehicles series, which fulfill current and future European private transportation market needs. By cooperating with European leading suppliers, the R&D department continuously upgrades design and engineering abilities for excellent product performance and quality.
As R&D Engineer, you will do research, analysis and evaluation of E-mobility products, user experience and usability of both passenger cars and commercial vehicles. You will use these research insights for the product development and iteration, working closely together with product, design and engineering teams.
Your main responsibility is:
- Shall design the test scheme and specify the steps, reagents/instruments and safety requirements according to the project requirements (such as raw material testing, product development and verification); operate according to the national standards/industry standards, complete the sample pretreatment (dissolution, extraction, etc.), reagent preparation, monitor the test process (temperature, pH, etc.), and ensure the process specification.
- It is skilled in using analytical instruments such as GC and HPLC, and is responsible for daily calibration (verifying the accuracy with standard materials) and blank test; recording the instrument log, troubleshooting simple faults (such as abnormal baseline), coordinating maintenance for complex faults, and ensuring the stable operation of the instrument.
- Shall accurately record the original data, and use Excel, Origin or LIMS system for analysis (error calculation and drawing) to ensure the traceability of the data; write the test report, present the purpose, method, result and conclusion, and preliminar.
- Shall implement the ISO 17025 and other quality systems, carry out parallel tests, add standard recovery to verify the accuracy of the method; standardize the storage/handling of toxic/flammable and explosive reagents, wear protective equipment (goggles, gloves), and prevent safety accidents.
- Shall cooperate with the R & D and production departments, feed back the test progress and results, and cooperate to solve quality abnormalities (such as unqualified product purity); pay attention to new technologies in the industry, participate in the optimization of test processes or the verification of new methods, and improve work efficiency.
- It is responsible for the construction of the laboratory system and the training of the experimental ability. Develop training courses.
Your personal information:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering, or Mechanics;
- Solid foundation in mechanical performance, structural, and durability principles;
- Familiar with common test equipment, data acquisition systems, and engineering software;
- Basic understanding of vehicle structure and fundamentals;
- Good English communication and cross-cultural collaboration skills;
- Laboratory or project experience is a plus.
