BYD is market leader across all ranges - passenger cars, trucks, buses and warehousing equipment.

The R&D department plans the sustainable product and technology road map for Europe and works on developing advanced, full electric vehicles series, which fulfill current and future European private transportation market needs. By cooperating with European leading suppliers, the R&D department continuously upgrades design and engineering abilities for excellent product performance and quality.

As R&D Engineer, you will do research, analysis and evaluation of E-mobility products, user experience and usability of both passenger cars and commercial vehicles. You will use these research insights for the product development and iteration, working closely together with product, design and engineering teams.

Your main responsibility is:

• Handle the tasks entrusted by the test and follow up the progress of the key tests;
• Reliability test planning and control of new technology products;
• Formulate reliability test specifications according to the product's life profile analysis and use environment analysis, as well as industry standards;
• According to the conclusion of the product repair failure analysis, combined with the user's use scenario and environment, optimise and upgrade the existing reliability test to prevent the problem from happening again;
• Set reliability targets for products, and formulate reliability test plans for products at the product introduction stage to ensure that the product reliability is fully verified;
• Lead the evaluation of risks related to product reliability, and provide reliability input for cost optimisation and design scheme selection.

Your personal information:

• Bachelor's degree or above, mechanical engineering, vehicle engineering or mechanics-related majors are required;
• Familiar with environmental reliability testing, reliability engineering, etc;
• Reliability design, data analysis, simulation and other related knowledge;
• Understand the common failure patterns and failure mechanisms of electronic devices;
• Strong learning ability, communication skills, good sense of teamwork;
• Good English skills, can read English documents, oral English communication skills are preferred.
