About the role
As Head of Fleet Sales in BYD Nederland, you will be overseeing the commercial strategy and execution for the fleet market, including leasing companies, corporate accounts, fleet operators (Taxi, RaC, mobility platforms) and institutional customers (municipalities, government and special fleets).
Used car remarketing, residual value (RV), total cost of ownership (TCO) optimization, and Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) program management will also be an essential part of the fleet sales scope, ensuring sustainable volume growth and long-term brand value.
You will closely collaborate with leasing, rental, and financial service partners, as well as internal stakeholders such as International Key Accounts, Finance, Pricing, Supply Chain, and Operations. A key priority is to build and lead a high-performing, commercial-driven fleet team, hiring and coaching competitive talent, and translating strategic objectives into actionable business plans.
Key Responsibilities:
· Define and execute the fleet commercial strategy for the Dutch market, aligned with BYD’s market share growth ambition, and profitability requirements.
· Build, coach, and inspire a high-performing fleet sales organization, embedding strong performance management, accountability, and commercial discipline.
· Lead relationships with major leasing companies, corporate fleets, rental providers, and public sector clients to secure long-term volume agreements and framework contracts.
· Drive fleet sales performance, pipeline development, tender management, and key account growth.
· Own residual value, TCO competitiveness, and remarketing strategy via Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) to protect long-term brand and asset value.
· Align with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Supply Chain to ensure smooth order intake, delivery execution, and customer satisfaction.
· Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and regulatory developments to identify new business opportunities and risks.
· Represent BYD Nederland in strategic partner discussions, industry events, and fleet ecosystem initiatives.
You have:
· Entrepreneurial mindset with a commercial, results-driven and proactive approach.
· Proven success in passenger car fleet sales, with a strong network across leasing companies, corporate fleets, and institutional customers in the Netherlands.
· Strong leadership capabilities with analytical, strategic, and data-driven decision-making skills.
· Solid experience in fleet pricing, contract negotiation, residual value, TCO management, and large-scale account development.
· Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and communication skills in Dutch and English (written and spoken).
· Ability to operate effectively in a fast-growing, dynamic, and international organization.
· Higher education thinking level; experience in automotive, mobility, or financial services is a strong advantage.
