BYD European Warehousing and Logistics Specialist
Location: Budapest
Type of Employment: Full-time
We are looking for a highly competent Warehouse & Logistics Network Manager to take charge of the overall planning, implementation, and optimization of BYD’s spare parts warehouse network and logistics system across the European region. With Hungary as the core of the base warehouse, you will coordinate the layout of multiple warehouses in key European countries (including the Netherlands, Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Poland, Sweden, and Switzerland), build a connected multi-country and multi-warehouse network system, and support the improvement of spare parts supply efficiency, cost control, and service compliance in Europe.
Key Responsibilities
1.Warehouse Network Planning & Optimization: Based on BYD’s European spare parts demand distribution, market expansion plans, and supply chain strategy, lead the development of a multi-country, multi-warehouse storage network layout centered on the Hungarian base warehouse. This includes site selection, scale planning, functional zoning, inventory allocation, and the design of multi-warehouse coordination mechanisms for warehouses in each country. Regularly review operational data of the entire European warehouse network, optimize its structure and multi-warehouse coordination models, so as to improve spare parts turnover efficiency, reduce storage costs, and lower cross-border/cross-warehouse transportation expenses.
2.Logistics System Construction & Control: Plan an integrated multi-country, multi-warehouse spare parts logistics network across Europe, covering warehousing, outbound shipping, cross-border/cross-warehouse transfers, final delivery, and reverse logistics. Screen and manage local European logistics providers, establish pan-European logistics service standards (including delivery timeliness, damage rate, and cost), implement logistics control mechanisms, and ensure the efficient allocation of spare parts between the Hungarian base warehouse and warehouses in other countries, as well as the timely, safe, and efficient delivery to end points (dealers, service stations, and end-users).
3.Standardization of Warehouse Operations: Develop operational standards for the Hungarian base warehouse and other European warehouses, including goods receiving, inventory management, picking and packing, outbound verification, and safety management. Drive the digital and intelligent upgrading of warehouses across Europe (e.g., WMS system optimization and automated operational workflow implementation) to achieve unified operational standards and data interoperability among multi-country warehouses, thereby improving overall warehouse operational efficiency and inventory accuracy.
Basic Requirements
1. Education: Bachelor’s degree or above; majors in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related fields are preferred.
2. Work Location: Based in Hungary (Hungarian residents or foreign nationals with legal right to work in Hungary are eligible; candidates who do not require the company to assist in handling work permits are preferred). Able to accept short-term business trips based on the planning needs of the multi-country and multi-warehouse network in Europe.
3. Language Ability: Proficient in English (listening, speaking, reading, and writing fluently), which will serve as the working language. Proficiency in Hungarian, German, French, or other mainstream European languages is a plus.
4. Work Experience: At least 5 years of relevant warehousing and logistics work experience in European automakers (OEMs are preferred); candidates without work experience in European automakers will not be considered.
Core Professional Requirements
1. Warehouse Network Planning Experience: Extensive experience in planning multi-country, multi-warehouse network operations across Europe; a thorough understanding of the European multi-country warehouse market. Has participated in or led core projects involving multi-country (covering at least 3 or more European countries) warehouse network layout, site selection, capacity planning, and multi-warehouse coordination optimization. Capable of coordinating the deployment of the pan-European warehouse network with Hungary as the central hub.
2. Logistics Planning Ability: Proficient in planning spare parts logistics links for multi-country and multi-warehouse linkage in Europe (including cross-border transportation, cross-warehouse transfer, local distribution, and reverse logistics). Familiar with European logistics industry standards, customs procedures, and transportation resources. Has experience in logistics supplier selection, management, and cost control, and is able to build an efficient and cost-effective multi-warehouse linked logistics system across Europe.
3. Operation Management Ability: Familiar with spare parts warehousing operation processes in multiple European countries; understands logistics and warehousing management systems such as WMS and TMS. Has experience in promoting the standardization and digital upgrading of multi-country and multi-warehouse operations, and can achieve multi-warehouse data intercommunication and standard unification to improve overall warehousing operational efficiency and inventory accuracy.
Bonus Points
1. Compliance & Risk Awareness: Familiar with labor laws and regulations, warehousing safety standards, environmental protection laws and regulations, and supply chain-related compliance requirements in multiple European countries (especially core target countries such as Hungary, Germany, and France). Able to identify and avoid compliance risks and operational risks in the multi-country and multi-warehouse network logistics links.
2. Communication & Collaboration: Excellent cross-departmental, cross-cultural, and cross-regional communication skills. Able to efficiently connect the Chinese headquarters with the local European team and the relevant person in charge of warehouses in various countries, coordinate internal and external resources, and promote the implementation of work.
We Offer:
