About the role:
We are hiring a full-time Product Manager to join our Renewable Energy Systems (RES) team in Austria. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning product strategy, roadmap and lifecycle for RES products in the Austrian market, working closely with engineering, sales, operations and aftersales to deliver market-leading, zero-emission solutions. This role requires product management experience in energy, battery storage, charging infrastructure or related clean-technology sectors, and the ability to operate across commercial and technical domains.
Working location: Austria (hybrid; office location flexible within Austria, some travel within Austria and neighbouring regions expected)
Key responsibilities:

Define product vision, strategy and roadmap for RES products in Austria aligned with company goals and local market requirements.

Gather and prioritise product and customer requirements through market research, customer engagement and stakeholder collaboration across Austria and regional teams.

Lead cross-functional product development activities with engineering, manufacturing, procurement and quality teams to ensure timely delivery and compliance with Austrian and EU regulatory standards.

Support Sales and Business Development in tender responses, commercial proposals and customer presentations for utility, commercial and public-sector projects in Austria.

Develop business cases, pricing models and total-cost-of-ownership analyses to support product launches and commercial decisions for the Austrian market.

Define product specifications, acceptance criteria and release documentation; support testing and commissioning activities as required.

Collaborate with Aftersales and Warranty teams to establish service offerings, spare-parts strategies and warranty policies tailored to local needs.

Monitor product performance, customer feedback and market trends in Austria; drive continuous improvement and feature enhancements.

Maintain product documentation and a centralised library of technical and commercial materials for internal use and audits.

Represent the company at industry events, customer meetings and technical workshops in Austria; build strong relationships with key partners and suppliers.

Undertake other tasks as requested by the Head of Product or regional management.
Skills and requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, energy systems, business or a related field.

Minimum 3–5 years’ product management or commercial experience in renewable energy, battery energy storage systems (BESS), EV charging infrastructure, power electronics or a related sector.

Strong understanding of energy markets, grid connection requirements and regulatory frameworks in Europe and Austria preferred.

Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and work with technical and commercial stakeholders.

Experience preparing tender submissions, commercial proposals and technical specifications.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; German language skills (Austrian German) highly desirable.

Proficient in MS Office and common product management tools; comfortable using data to drive decisions.

Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Proactive, collaborative and customer-focused with the ability to work independently.
