Warranty Guidelines Specialist
About the Role:
The Warranty Guidelines & Labor Rates Specialist is the central point of contact for defining, refining, and scaling operational warranty standards and financial parameters across all markets. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining clear policy documentation for retail partners, managing and parameterizing market-specific warranty labor rates, and leveraging data and AI tools to ensure this critical information is seamlessly shared and understood across the network.
Key Responsibilities:
Create, update, and maintain comprehensive, highly structured warranty guidelines, policy manuals, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for global markets and retailers.
Manage, evaluate, and parameterize the official warranty Labor Rates and flat-rate allowances across different National Sales Companies (NSCs) and retail networks to ensure fair, optimized reimbursement structures.
Establish efficient information-sharing channels and automated subscription rules to ensure new updates, policy revisions, and guidelines are immediately disseminated to the Markets and retailers.
Leverage internal data insights and AI support tools to ensure documentation and labor frameworks stay agile, accurate, and optimized for modern vehicle technologies.
Translate complex financial, technical, or audit rules into easily digestible, human-friendly operational manuals for floor-level workshop application.
Act as a strong team player, collaborating cross-functions to ensure that changes in automotive tech, manufacturing compliance, or parts logistics are updated in regional policy books immediately.
Your Profile:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Communications, Technical Writing, Finance, Business Management, Automotive Engineering, or related studies.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in technical writing, policy creation, or warranty operational management within the automotive or OEM industry.
Solid understanding of dealership aftersales financial metrics, specifically regarding warranty labor rate calculations and workshop invoicing workflows.
Deep understanding of automotive industry processes, with a natural talent for structured, clear, and human-sounding communication.
Highly comfortable working alongside data analytics, PowerBI frameworks, and AI tools to maintain and manage extensive documentation libraries.
Outstanding cross-cultural communication and relationship-management skills to align diverse international market managers.
Native-level or completely fluent verbal and written English proficiency.
Proven project leadership experience with a background in modern process management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, or PMP certification is a strong plus)."
