About BYD Auto Hungary
On 22 December 2023, BYD announced the construction of a new energy vehicle production base in Szeged, Hungary, which will be built in phases. The new production base is planned to adopt globally advanced process equipment and highly automated production processes to create a world-leading new energy vehicle manufacturing base.
We are looking for an HR professional with strong expertise in labour relations who can ensure smooth employee–employer interactions and compliance in a dynamic international environment. If you have hands-on experience in handling employee relations matters, a solid understanding of the Hungarian Labour Code, and strong communication skills, we welcome you to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the key contact for labour relations matters, ensuring compliance with Hungarian labour law and fostering positive employee–employer relations.
- Serve as a liaison between employees, managers, and external stakeholders to resolve workplace issues in a fair and timely manner.
- Support the administration and interpretation of employment contracts, workplace policies, and collective agreements.
- Advise on disciplinary actions, grievance handling, and conflict resolution, ensuring alignment with legal requirements and company standards.
- Maintain accurate records related to employee relations cases, investigations, and legal documentation.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers on rights, obligations, working time, and leave entitlements.
- Oversee compliance with statutory requirements regarding working conditions, health & safety, and social insurance.
- Support the development and implementation of fair labour practices, policies, and processes to strengthen employee engagement.
- Prepare and analyze reports on employee relations trends, disputes, and legal risks, providing data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure full compliance with Hungarian labour legislation and stay up to date with regulatory changes affecting the workplace.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required:
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in HR or payroll administration, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- HR related Bachelor’s degree is an advantage
- Rich experience in handling payroll data preparation and coordination with external payroll providers.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience in applying the Hungarian Labour Code in day-to-day HR operations.
- Fluent in Hungarian, with at least an intermediate level of English for written and verbal communication.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality in handling employee data.
- Confident in using Excel and HR systems (e.g., time tracking and payroll software).
- Proactive attitude, ability to work independently, and strong interpersonal skills.
- A positive mindset, resilience, and adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
