About BYD Auto Hungary
On 22 December 2023, BYD announced the construction of a new energy vehicle production base in Szeged, Hungary, which will be built in phases. The new production base is planned to adopt globally advanced process equipment and highly automated production processes to create a world-leading new energy vehicle manufacturing base.
BYD Auto Hungary is looking for a versatile and dynamic HR Business Partner to join our Country HR Team.
This role acts as the HRBP for local departments that do not have an independent HR function. You will be responsible for full-cycle daily HR management, ensuring compliance with Hungarian labor law and GDPR, minimizing labor relations risks, and providing professional HR support to employees and business teams.

Key Responsibilities:
1) Daily HR Administration
Manage daily attendance operations: attendance tracking, leave approval, overtime calculation and verification; ensure accuracy and standardization of attendance data.
Handle end-to-end payroll operations: salary calculation, payment confirmation, payslip issuance; coordinate with HQ finance to ensure timely and accurate payroll delivery.
2) Compliance & Labor Relations Management
Apply Hungarian labor laws and policies accurately; identify and mitigate labor relations risks and minimize potential disputes.
Ensure GDPR compliance across all HR activities: collection, storage, use, and disclosure of employee data.
Provide direct HR support to employees: answer questions on labor policies, payroll, leave, etc.; handle complaints and mediation; maintain healthy employee relations.
3) HR Process & Reporting
Optimize and standardize local HR processes to improve efficiency and ensure smooth daily operations.
Prepare regular HR reports and data statistics; provide accurate data support for local management and HQ decision-making; be proficient in Office tools for reporting.
4) Other HR-related Work
Support additional HR tasks assigned by HQ and local leadership; ensure effective implementation of company HR policies locally.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required:
Hungarian citizen or hold a valid work & residence permit in Hungary.
Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources Management, Law, Business Administration, or related fields.
Minimum 1 year HR experience; experience in attendance, payroll, or labor relations is preferred.
English as a working language (written and verbal).
Familiar with GDPR and Hungarian labor law; able to identify and avoid labor risks.
Strong communication and coordination skills; able to work with employees, leaders, and HQ; strong problem-solving ability.
Process-oriented, detail-focused, data-sensitive; strong reporting skills; proficient in MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint).
Strong sense of responsibility, proactive attitude, able to work independently and handle work pressure.
