About BYD Auto Hungary
On 22 December 2023, BYD announced the construction of a new energy vehicle production base in Szeged, Hungary, which will be built in phases. The new production base is planned to adopt globally advanced process equipment and highly automated production processes to create a world-leading new energy vehicle manufacturing base.
BYD Auto Hungary is looking for a versatile and dynamic Payroll specialist
to join our Country HR Team.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage and execute end-to-end payroll processes for the Hungary site(s), ensuring accurate and timely monthly payroll closing.
Independently calculate payroll elements (e.g., base pay, overtime/shift allowances, bonuses, benefits, deductions) and ensure correct handling of absences and time & attendance inputs.
Coordinate daily payroll operations with local payroll service providers (if outsourced): prepare input data, validate calculations, review payroll outputs, and resolve discrepancies.
Ensure payroll accounting entries and reporting are compliant with applicable standards (IFRS and/or US GAAP where relevant) and aligned with internal policies.
Maintain payroll data accuracy and confidentiality; manage employee payroll records and support payroll-related audits and internal controls.
Provide professional support to employees and stakeholders by handling payroll inquiries and explaining payroll components in a clear, compliant manner.
Cooperate closely with HR, Finance, and business leaders to continuously improve payroll processes, efficiency, and compliance.
Prepare regular payroll reports and analytics (headcount, labor cost, variances), and support ad-hoc requests from management.
Support statutory reporting and cooperation with relevant authorities as required, and ensure documentation is up to date.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree or higher, with at least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
Familiar with IFRS and/or US GAAP, and able to handle payroll-related work independently.
Fluent Hungarian; English or Chinese required as a working language.
Strong hands-on experience in end-to-end payroll calculation and/or solid experience in coordinating with local payroll service providers.
Positive attitude, strong work motivation, high resilience, and strong adaptability.
