About the Role
As Finance Manager – Czech Republic & Slovakia, you will take full ownership of financial management for BYD Passenger Vehicle Sales operations across both markets. You will ensure strong financial governance, statutory compliance, and business performance support, acting as a strategic partner to commercial and operational stakeholders.
This role combines hands-on financial management with leadership responsibility, covering accounting oversight, budgeting, reporting, cash flow management, tax coordination, and commercial finance support. You will play a key role in building a scalable finance function aligned with BYD Group standards while supporting rapid business growth in a dynamic automotive environment.
Key Objectives & Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
Take full responsibility for financial management across Czech Republic and Slovakia, including bookkeeping oversight, budgeting, cost control, and business analysis.
Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting to regional leadership and Group headquarters.
Monitor financial performance and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.
Accounting Governance & External Provider Management
Manage and coordinate external accounting service providers (e.g., PwC) to ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and BYD Group policies.
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness of financial records.
Implement and enforce Group financial policies, procedures, and internal controls at country level.
Tax & Compliance
Support tax filing, tax planning, and compliance activities.
Coordinate communication with local tax authorities, auditors, and external advisors.
Ensure adherence to financial regulatory requirements across Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Cash Flow & Banking
Manage cash flow planning, funding strategies, and banking relationships.
Ensure financial stability, liquidity visibility, and operational efficiency.
Commercial Finance & Business Partnering
Provide financial evaluation and support for sales policies, dealer business models, and major commercial contracts.
Support pricing strategies, incentive schemes, and profitability analysis.
Act as a finance business partner to Sales and Operations teams.
Team Leadership & Finance Function Development
Lead, mentor, and develop the local finance team.
Build a professional and efficient finance organization capable of supporting business scale-up.

Required Qualifications & Competencies
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
Minimum 8 years of relevant finance experience.
At least 3–5 years in a finance management or leadership role.
Experience in multinational companies is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of local accounting standards and tax regulations in Czech Republic and/or Slovakia.
Technical & Business Skills
Strong financial analysis capability and commercial mindset.
High level of risk awareness and governance orientation.
Experience managing external accounting providers and auditors.
Languages
English and Czech as working languages.
Chinese language skills are a strong advantage.
