Key Responsibilities:
Truck Product Planning for the European Market:
Oversee overall product planning and roadmap formulation for truck products in the European market; analyze market segmentation (light-duty, medium-duty and heavy-duty trucks), regulatory landscape and competitive dynamics; develop product portfolio strategies covering model lineup, configuration tiers and price bands; deliver product planning proposals and drive their end-to-end execution.
User Demand & Application Scenario Research:
Conduct in-depth research on typical use cases including logistics transportation, urban delivery and long-haul trunking; carry out user interviews and customer surveys to identify core needs and pain points; analyze regional usage variations across countries in terms of climate, regulations and operation models; translate user requirements into clear product definitions covering functions, performance and configurations.
Competitive Analysis & Benchmarking:
Systematically analyze the product layout and technology roadmaps of leading truck brands in the European market; benchmark competitors across dimensions including powertrain, intelligent features, energy efficiency and cost structure; deliver competitive analysis reports to support the formulation of product differentiation strategies; continuously track market trends and dynamically adjust product planning accordingly.
New Technology Research & Adoption:
Monitor technology trends in new energy (battery electric / hydrogen fuel cell), autonomous driving and vehicle connectivity; evaluate the application feasibility and commercial value of new technologies for truck products; drive the implementation of new technologies in target products; collaborate with R&D teams to define the technology adoption roadmap and rollout timeline.
Product Definition & Documentation Delivery:
Lead end-to-end product definition, including full vehicle specifications, configuration schemes and functional requirements; compile formal deliverables such as Product Requirements Documents (PRD) and technical specification sheets.
Localization Adaptation & Regulatory Compliance Research:
Study the impact of European national regulations (emissions, safety, type approval, etc.) on product design; drive localization efforts to ensure products meet local regulatory and certification requirements; optimize product configurations based on local operational needs; mitigate compliance risks and improve market access efficiency.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required:
Bachelor’s degree or above; 5+ years of relevant working experience in truck design within the European market is preferred.
Proficiency in English is preferred.
Strong communication, organizational and coordination capabilities.
Familiarity with standard corporate workflows and policies; in-depth knowledge of the commercial vehicle (truck) industry and product structure is a plus.
Solid data analysis skills, logical reasoning and strong business acumen.
Excellent cross-functional communication skills and proven ability to drive project execution forward.
Overseas market experience or multilingual proficiency is preferred.
