About the Role:

• In line with our dynamic expansion strategy, BYD is seeking a highly qualified Senior Counsel to join our team in Turkey. The successful candidate will provide strategic legal guidance and counsel to ensure regulatory compliance and risk management in business operations. Your contributions will be instrumental in shaping our legal landscape and supporting our mission of sustainable innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Responsible for the legal affairs of our Turkish company; Formulating mechanisms for risk prevention and control, emergency handling and response;
• Researching laws and policies related to the business; providing legal advice for the company's decision-making and business operations; carrying out relevant legal training;
• Responsible for the identification, analysis, evaluation, and response of legal risks for the front operation of our Turkish company; Providing legal support for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating relevant contracts, company policies, and other legal documents;
• Responsible for the follow-up of local litigation and non-litigation legal affairs;
• Processing other related works assigned by the leader.

Requirement

• Graduated from top law school in Turkey or abroad, with master's degree in law or above, and familiar with the Turkish laws, Turkish study background is preferred;
• 3 to 5 years of working experience, automotive and other manufacturing industry working experience is preferred;
• With strong ability and rich experience in dealing with legal compliance matters, including but not limited to Data Protection,Competition law, export control; Skilled in handling cross-cultural and multi-jurisdictional legal matters;
• Excellent ability to analyze and solve problems, good communication and coordination skills, efficient execution, strong ability to work under pressure and team management;
• With proactive, diligent, rigorous work attitude; able to complete all kinds of work independently;
• Both English and Turkish can be used as working languages (written and spoken). Chinese and German language skills preferred;
• Having experiences in handling oversea investment projects or litigation cases for Chinese enterprises in Turkey is preferred.
